Exceptional Peruvian restaurant. Food is a little bit pricey but it is justified by the freshness of the ingredients and the rather generous portions. On top of that, the service is friendly and kind.
As entrée I shared a Causa Limeña and some Empanaditas de Ají de Gallina, both extremely tasty and fresh. As a main course I had the Arroz Chaufa de Pollo which was very good and a big portion. Only negative point was the homemade lemonade which was quite good but definitely not worth the price.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff H.Margareten, Wien247138793346. Okt. 2014
Lima56 on the Favoritenstrasse in Wieden is Vienna's first Peruvian restaurant. Peruvian food is the most creative and diverse in South America. It's influences range from the native Inkas to the colonial Spanish to the waves of Asian immigrants. Lima 56 serves up several of the famous dishes of Peru. In a land where the potato was first cultivated, "papas" are well-represented on the menu. Seafood is also well-served here. One of their best dishes is the Chinese influenced Loma Saltado in which tender strips of beef are stir fried with vegetables. Don't forget to ask for their homemade Rocoto chili sauce to give the dishes some real kick! And the food is very artistically presented on the plate.
The management and staff are very friendly in this restaurant. They can easily accommodate both large and small parties. And in warmer weather
there is a large and attractive Schanigarten in the back courtyard.
Lima56 is a wonderful addition to the burgeoning Vienna restaurant scene!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Chris C.Reading, Vereinigte Staaten98127. Dez. 2015
Excellent food. Reminds me of Peru itself. My only gripe with the place was it being understaffed but I wont deduct anything off. I hope for them it's a sign of success. Otherwise the staff was friendly and the food was amazing.
Had the paste with chili sauce. I believe this was a special, and we'll worth it, if you like cream sauces and pasta. The Aji was even better (wife had it) and I couldn't stop picking at it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ahmed A.Cherry Hill, Vereinigte Staaten2321110. Sep. 2015
My wife and I went there for our one year anniversary.
We got the deep fried fish with potato wedges and rice.
I think that was the best fish I have ever tasted in a very long time. I really can't remember the last time I enjoyed eating such a wonderful seafood dish. It was a bit pricey, but money spent well.
The staff are extremely friendly, and are helpful.
Really recommend this Peruvian restaurant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Nathaniel T.Atlanta, Vereinigte Staaten34127. Mai 2015
It was good. It was a little pricey but I got a lot of food. My stomach was happy! It's great for after dinner. The wine is fairly cheap and the atmosphere is cool. The positive note for travel is that it is between Hauptbahnhof and Taubstummengasse stations on the U1 line.

We were in a Peruvian restaurant for the first time, so I am not able to assess the authentacity of the food. But generally, Lima56 is a nice restaurant with very friendly service. The menu is quite extensive, all dishes were very good and also nicely presented. The prices are correct. The wine offer is very limited, and should be extended a bit. The only negative element is the noise in the restaurant: the room is very acustic, and when it is full, it gets quite noisy.
