Cafe Dogenhof

Beautiful interior. None of my group spoke German, but the staff was very polite. I had a wonderful hot chocolate and the most amazing French toast. Seriously, I did not like French toast at all before this and it was kind of a random decision to try it- but I was absolutely not disappointed.

Rude staff members and service. Not friendly if you don't speak German. They will not want to serve you and will rudely turn you away. We were staying at Austria Classic Wein Hotel. There are plenty of other places to go in the area with better service. Do not recommend.

Very interesting is the first impress i have about this place.
It is one of the old Vienna cafes where you step back in time when going in there.
I spent a long time just looking at all the bottles on the wall.
However as a smoking cafe, i will not be visiting it often, but worth checking out if you in this area.

Avoid this cafe at all times. Especially if you don't speak German. If you are staying at Austria Classic Hotel Wien, walk a few steps down the street. there are other cafes such as Obberreiter Der Fladenwirt. You don't want a mean, rude- spirit person to make your coffee or tea. Not very healthy for your body,mind and soul. This woman, I think she might be the owner, was very rude to me before I even sat down. I said I am sorry I don't speak German. I asked her politely whether she spoke English, instead of just responded with a smile and shook her head, she yelled at me in German and in between sentences, she said, "What is your problem?" I have never seen such rude attitude a business owner had towards her customer. I am a business owner myself. So avoid this cafe. Spend your money on someone who deserves your business.
