Revolution - Northampton

I've been to a few of the Revolution pubs in the chain and a lot of them do end up coming across either very tacky or very stuck-up.


However, the Revolution in Northampton is by far one of the best pubs/clubs in the town with great music, a wide range of cheap drinks and some very strange but tasty cocktails and shots.


During the day they server a good range of quality, reasonably priced food and at night it really comes to life being the focal point for Bridge Street.


As far as atmosphere and character, this Revolution has both by the bucket load.


My only regret is that I've not been able to find a pub/club that matches up to it since so it's obviously set my expectations high.


For anybody on a night out in Northampton, Revolution is a definate!

Bad food, delivered slowly.

I ordered Ravioli on a Monday night when the pace was almost empty. They had only one person to take orders who would disappear for periods of time to a back room. He came after 10 minutes to seat me, delivered the food exactly an hour later, offered an excuse that the food take a long time to prepare.. When the food came it was a combination of hot and cold ( not properly unfrozen?)...

Decent food, decent drinks, this is just your standard 'in your face' bar in Northampton. Tip - it is absolutely full of women, though the Northampton woman is not for everyone....

Great atmosphere and great location.
Choice of all types and flavours of vodka although stear clear of the chilli flavour!!!!
Good mix of young and older clients

As part of the Revolutions chain of bars, you pretty much know what you're going to get with this place. It's situated towards the bottom end of Bridge Street in the town centre and is a perfect location in amongst the hustle and bustle of all of the other bars and clubs in that area. The décor is trendy and contemporary and the drinks prices not too outlandish in my opinion. There is a small dance area towards the back and the music has generally been dance when I've been in there. Certainly not a bad stop on a night out.

Its a tad quiet here some nights but they have some interesting shots which everyone should try at least once!

Great place , can be quite difficult to get a drink, but love the shot sticks. Music not as commercial as some places but has lots of places to sit which is great to start your night off
