The Punch Bowl

Nice big pub in Crookes, Sheffield. It's studenty but with a traditional vibe. Warm, friendly and welcoming with cheap beers and a small beer garden. It's in a nice area, great for a pub crawl.

I attended this pub with a group of students on a Saturday night in Sheffield. We were having a good time, enjoying the atmosphere; there was no rowdiness. We had purchased about 3 drinks each, and between us spent well over £100 in the pub. Around an hour before closing time, a very rude pub managed told us to leave as we were not buying enough drinks. One of my party confronted the bar managed about this, and she was equally rude, stating that 'every other pub in Crookes would have kicked us out by now'. This was despite 4 our of party having drinks in their hands at the time. The male pub manager at this point was becoming very officious and even pointed a finger directly in the face of my friend. If you want hospitality and friendliness avoid this pub. If you enjoy rude management attempting to intimidate and finger pointing in the face, feel free to visit this establishment and experience their 'unique' hospitality.
