Best spaghetti carbonara I've ever had in My life! So flavorful. Top 5 best Margherita pizzas in my life. Maybe the best croutons in a salad I've ever had in My my life. Some of the best Italian food I've ever had. If you like pizza, salad, or spaghetti alla carbonara this place is a must! Better than any food by far that I had in Florence. And this place is run by real Italians in case you were wondering. They also speak Italian if you prefer over English or austrian german. One of the best places in vienna it really is a hidden gem that deserves way more credit. My Mom said the salad she had may have been the best ever. Their salad is the most fresh I've ever had. Nothing seemed artificial or stale.

The food and service here is fabulous! We ate there twice during our Vienna vacation and love it both times. The food is unique and filled with flavor. The owner / host is the primary server and he does a wonderful job for both known local customers and tourists. I would highly recommend this cafe, as it's just off a main square, close to everything, yet in a quiet alley. The carbonara pasta and the Chicken Caesar salad, along with all their pizzas are worth finding the place!

We stumbled in here while looking for a warm place to have some dinner. The atmosphere felt casual but the decor is really nice and the windows are fun to sit and watch out while enjoying your meal. The prices are reasonable too. Our waiter was great! I mean he really interacted with us in a fun way!
If you are in the mood for italian and don't want to eat at a stuffy restaurant or spend a load of money, this is a solid choice.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 14. Mai 2017
This place was one block from our pension which are both 1/2 block from the main pedestrian street , grabben in Vienna. Find the plague column on graben turn down the street away from the church and you can't miss it
The weather was great so we sat outside but the interior is nice and welcoming as well. We had pizzas, both very good. Like Napoli good. The service was very efficient. Also had a nice salad with fresh ingredients bursting with flavor and a very tasty minestrone soup.
I spied on what the people around me were having and it all looked great.
The tiramisu for desert was epic. Overall a wonderful dining experienceHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JeffandPriscilla O.Palm Harbor, Vereinigte Staaten518342816. März 2018
Our guide from a Vienna culinary tour suggested going at least one-block away from the high-traffic tourist areas for better food at more reasonable prices. After a day exploring the Austrian countryside, we weren't up for venturing too far from our hotel. Luckily, we found Ristorante da Gennaro only a few blocks away and off the main drag on a quiet side street. We sat outside as the weather was unseasonably warm for October.
Our waiter suggested an Austrian Pinot Grigio to go with our selections of Ravioli with sheep's cheese and Austrian ham and Penne with Wild Boar Sausage. The pairing was perfect and the food was delicious. We considered it unusual to find good Italian food in the heart of Vienna. Our dinner with wine cost about 44 euros.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brian L.NoDa, Charlotte, Vereinigte Staaten2362821. Juli 2018
We stumbled onto this restaurant upon leaving L'Osteria the first time. The salad was good. The pizza was ok. I would have given it 4 stars if the service had been acceptable. Maybe we just caught them on a bad day.
With all of the options for food in Vienna, everything has to be on point. On this day, the service was not. There are better places to find in the city.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Joe L.London, Vereinigtes Königreich4211369. Juli 2015
Found a long hair in my excessively salty ravioli. When I told the waiter about it, he said it was impossible it came from their chefs. He seemed to imply it came from me. Well, look at my profile pic. My head's pretty much shaved. Hilarious.
Also, they refused to give us tap water even though they offered it to the people beside us. Instead brought us a bottle which was over 4 Euros.
The pizza was soggy with really salty blue cheese. Definitely one of the worst pizzas I've ever tasted in my life.
Horrible service, rude staff, excessively salty food, and a very unpleasant atmosphere overall. Never again. Stay away!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Amanda H.Woodinville, Vereinigte Staaten032823. Juni 2019
This is a hidden gem in Vienna! Fast and friendly service, a cozy atmosphere, and delicious pizza! The prosciutto and arugula pizza was my personal favorite! Will definitely be back if I ever find myself in Vienna again!

Hidden away in Central Vienna lies this great little Italian place. Top notch service with pretty good English from the waiter. It must be truffle season because I was offered a separate truffle menu. Fantastic.
