GREAT CRAFT BEER SELECTION ! My wife and I flew into Paris, France around midday on Monday. A limo driver brought us from the airport to our new address for the next 7 days. After unloading all our gear in our 2 bedroom Airbnb apartment on the 2nd floor we headed out for cappuccinos and some dessert at the cafe / bakery downstairs. Then it was off to this supermarket to buy some craft beer. After putting up with mostly lousy Italian beer during our 2 week stay in Italy my expectations in Paris were quite high with Belgium close by. YES PLEASE ! It's a bit of a rag tag looking supermarket...probably a popular spot with the locals. After getting directions from a security dude I headed to the rear of the store. WOW ! These guys had a very impressive array of top quality Belgian beers and some familiar American IPA's. I grabbed 1 x 4 pack of Leffe Blonde Ale in one pint cans ( a fabulous beer ), one stubbie ( Aussie for 12 oz bottle ) of Brooklyn Brewery "Pulp Art" Hazy IPA ( fabulous beer ) and one La Chouffe Blonde ( delicious beer ) in a one pint can. FAIR PRICES ! The prices they were asking compared favorably with back in the states. FRESH SQUEEZED ORANGE JUICE ! On the way to the checkout my wife pointed out a fresh squeezed orange juice machine...self serve. The security dude came over and showed me how to operate it...I selected the larger size available. WHAM BAM ! We paid at the checkout and went home. I tried the fresh squeezed orange juice the next morning...it didn't taste very good ! In fact I poured it down the sink. Good tasting fresh squeezed orange juice needs FRESH ORANGES to taste the best. GOOD FOR THE BEER !
NOTE - Of course with over 22 million views of my Yelp reviews and pics world wide in 2022 I can tell you what is great !Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0 - 11. Nov. 2019
My absolute favorite thing to do whilst abroad is to check out the supermarkets. Monoprix is a bit unique since they sell more than food items. They had a section for clothes and other random bits which was pretty cool. I had a blast browsing the snack selection.

Monoprix is popular market chain in Paris. Almost every section of this city, you'll find a moniprix not too far away. This one by Montparnasse seems to be a pretty sizable one.
This particular store carries food and dry goods as well. Clothes, children's notebooks, pencils, colored markers, cheese and wine. I think they even have cosmetics as well. Like I said, these guys are pretty complete with all that stuff.
I do love to come here to shop for some in room dining. When in Paris,, a couple of baguettes, some cold cuts, some cheese,, you have yourself a good supper right there. That and beer or wine,, whatever you prefer. This store has a very good selection of both.
Anyways, its always a pleasant experience when I shop here. It's clean, its easy, and its pretty economical.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kezia C.Vancouver, Kanada106330. Mai 2019

A great one stop shop. Upper level offers clothing, cosmetics/ toiletries, limited office supplies, Starbucks and bakery. Lower level kitchen decor, tools, groceries and alcohol.
I found the store easy to navigate and I was glad to know if I need undies, sunscreen, champagne, and a cutting board monoprix can hook it up.
My favorite part is the bakery on the upper level. Purchased two almond croissants and ended up eating both the same day because they were so amazing.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Shirley A.Vancouver, Vereinigte Staaten3630. Apr. 2017
A French store that has everything you would expect at a Target store but with € prices. They have super cute womens clothes, adorable childrens clothes, tons of skincare and a healthy booze selection. The produce section is lovely and I had some of the best strawberries I've ever tasted. Most of the clerks and sales staff speak a bit of English.

This is the Target equivalent in Paris. We came here to get French made soaps, cosmetics, and a few French made gifts relatively inexpensively. This is a big place with a lot of selections. This would be a place I would have frequent if I live here.

A great supermarket, definitely the one to go to in the area. It is almost like a Wal-Mart and packs everything you need. There is a book store so I could find a Michelin map of Paris.
There are clothes, electronics, CDs, beauty, and most pharmacy goods. Most importantly though is downstairs. The supermarket is gigantic and packs everything one could ever want. They stock more than simply French goods, but foreign and other European goods. I could possibly spend a day in there looking over brand after brand.
What I ended up gathering though, butter (which is basically edible by itself in France), creme fraiche (a better version of sour cream), fresh baguette, eggs (which have richer colored yolks), fresh goat cheese, and tomatoes (which pack so much more flavor and sweetness). French produce outclasses American produce by so much.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Shirley C.Los Altos, Vereinigte Staaten3511376004. Apr. 2013
Great find on a random walk around Montparnasse. This store is bigger than it looks...there's 2 stories! Top floor houses clothing/accessories/shoes/boulangerie/toiletries/checkout, while the lower level houses the groceries and random home goods.
Walked away with 2 shirts for the hubby (great European fit) a blouse for moi, truffle oil, fleur de sel, madelines, balsamic vinegar, water, and random European chocolates.
They also carry a limited selection of Fauchon goods...which are cheaper than the goods at the actual Fauchon (not sure why???)
This Monoprix is equivalent to a higher end Target in the states...really glad we walked into this place to pick up water and a whole lot more!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Em K.San Jose, Vereinigte Staaten073138. Juni 2013
While it's compared to Target in the USA, I felt the prices at the Monoprix were way more expensive. I did buy some clothes and makeup, but NOT at Target or Walmart prices. But it is Paris, I suppose.
I went into many Monoprix, all around the city, and some are way better than others. This one is really nice and big. I don't like how the supermarket sections are connected to the rest of the store, because the smell is really rancid. I don't know if it's all the cheeses or cured meats, or what...but most of the Monoprix I went into smelled like this.
A fun store to look around, although most of them do not carry pharmacy items, like cold medicine. You will have to go to a Pharmacie for that. If you're in Paris, and need some cheap clothes (relatively cheap, compared to other dept stores in Paris), or toiletries, come here!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
