If I can give below one star, I would. I'm not one to write bad reviews but this place was definitely an unusual experience. We ordered the Cancun Platter for two people. It was a HUGE platter for two. We couldn't finish it and asked for it to be boxed. The waiter took it away. I just wanted to double check to make sure he knew we wanted it to-go, so I went back there to confirm with him. To my surprise, I saw him shoveling forkfuls of food from the platter we ordered into his mouth. It was like catching someone whacking off. I was shocked and embarrassed so I walked away. When he came back, we wanted to see what he was going to say/do so we asked if he boxed our food. He paused and said, "I threw it away." He then offered two quarter-filled glasses of margaritas in compensation.....Dinner was $64. SO NOT WORTH IT.
The only good thing here was free WiFi.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sanyo V.Lihue, Vereinigte Staaten07234. Juni 2012

1. From the time I physically entered the front door until I was humanly acknowledged by a hostess and seated at a table.... 15 mins. The restaraunt was not even full of customers.
2. From the time I ordered drinks for my table until they were delivered to my table.... 10 mins. Again, not a full restaraunt.
3. I ordered 2 Nachos Frijoles. I asked for some grilled chicken on the side. My waiter ( an INDIAN gentleman ) said that it wasn't possible to have chicken. I can only order what's on the menu. I can order a different dish that contains chicken in the stated recipe. So much for the customer is right. After all, how hard is it to Grill some chicken on the side. When a waitress was coming by I asked her could I speak with her. She spoke Spanish. Well so do I. Then I explained everything that had transpired. She said she would tell the manager. She ordered the chicken for me. From the time she put the order in..... NO FAULT OF THE WAITRESS.... until the chicken was on my table 28 mins. The manager came to my table, heard everything I had to say. He didn't say or do anything to that waiter at all. He simply said.... so all you want is a piece of chicken? I don't believe he cared to much. A sad, dry 6 oz. piece of chicken or something pretending to be. If this food comes from a pre-made, frozen kit, then it would be understandable what the waiter was saying. They would have to break into one Mexican food is not hard to make if you're Mexican. But when you have non authentic folks trying to prepare a cuisine that they have not been adequately trained in.... it's a recipe for a disaster. The nachos were ok, my drinks didn't kill me. The Indian waiter was rude and ignorant. It cost me 39.50 Euros / $ 48.67 USD for this.
OVERALL.... could you feed a group of people in this place pretending to be a CHEVY's or other successful Tex-Mex style restaraunt.... YES Would I bring my colleagues or family there and risk embarassment, humiliation and utter dissatisfaction.....HELL NO!!! I would not recommend this restaraunt to anyone I know at all. This place couldn't even measure up to a Taco Bell and that fake Mexican fast food would be delivered in a more timely fashion by a teenager with better customer service skills learned out of basic human kindness
LESSON.... don't treat customers as if their time doesn't matter. Don't treat people as if they're idiots. Don't hire people who have no hospitality experience. This restaraunt should send their wait staff to Lufthansa, British Airways, Emirates or Cathay Pacific Airline "Charm School" to learn poise, to learn service with a smile and to be better informed of what can be done in their kitchen. And in a not so busy restaraunt.... they could afford to greet people when they come through the door and seat them in a more timely fashion.
To me CANCUN.... at least in this specific restaraunt located in Potsdamer Platz area.... CANCUN represents a corporate chain restaraunt: FAST FOOD "Tex-Mex Berlin Style" gone wrong. Save your money for a better dining experience. Hey, If you're hungry.... there's a Mc Donald's just a few blocks away and I guarantee they'll treat a whole lot better for a much cheaper price.
For the record, I've been to this same restaraunt 2 times and each time they let me down. I shouldn't have to pay to feel bad. :(Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Johan B.Enschede, Niederlande361330. Dez. 2012
Food was reasonable. Service was horrible. Very late and very rude. We waited for ever for our food. In the end we received our main courses (ribs & burritos) before we received our starters (plain nachos).
